While our system allows you to order donuts further in advance, we ask that you wait until specialty flavors have been updated. (This may not apply to larger orders if we have directed you towards ordering online ahead of time)
Purchasing BreadWe bake bread in Matthews three days a week, with a larger selection on the weekends. Breads are available in store at Matthews and on Saturdays at the Davidson Farmer's Market (in season) and can be preordered for Park Rd pickup.
Q: It didn't let me choose a pickup time, when is my order ready?
A: Donut preorders are generally ready for pickup when we open each day. Same day orders may take up to 2 hours to process, and we do our best to keep you updated by marking your order available for pickup or fulfilled in our system. In season, Saturday Davidson orders can be picked up from our table at the Farmer's Market.
Q: I placed an order when you were closed, when will my order be ready?
A: Orders placed while we are closed will be filled on the next business day unless another pickup day is selected. Our Charlotte area shops are closed Mondays & Tuesdays.
Q: Is there a way to order singles of mini donuts? Or specify flavors?
A: Unfortunately we are only offering minis by the dozen online to simplify our counts and minimize dough waste. You are welcome to add preferred classic flavors in the notes or call us to discuss your order! Mini donuts are not available same day and must be ordered by 8am for next day pickup.
Q: I'm having a birthday party/shower/wedding, how should I order?
A: You are welcome to order through our online store if we already have what you're looking for, but we'd love to discuss making the day extra special! Please reach out to our Matthews location and we can guide you through options and the best way to secure your date.
Q: What type of donuts do you make?
A: Our donut dough is a sourdough brioche yeast, made with less than 10 ingredients. We occasionally serve up an apple fritter, cruller, or other fun treat (check our weekly specials) but 99% of the time our lineup is all fluffy yeast pillows coated in amazing, locally sourced goodness.
Q: I have a food allergy, are your donuts safe?
A: Our dough contains dairy, egg, and gluten and we fry our donuts in coconut oil. Our milk and dark chocolate ganache glazes contains soy lecithin. Our classic flavors do not contain any tree or peanuts but occasionally a specialty flavor does and can cross-contaminate the other donuts. Although the previously mentioned allergens are staples in our kitchen, we are continually adding new ingredients and creating new specialty flavors for our line-up. Please reach out to us if you have any allergy concerns before ordering!
Q: Do you make vegan or gluten free donuts?
A: Currently we only offer our classic donut. Some of our bread options are vegan, though all contain gluten.
Q: How do I store your donuts?
A: Our donuts are fried every morning and are made without preservatives and fillers, they are best consumed the day they are purchased. Many of our glazes are cream based and topped with fresh ingredients that will hold overnight on your counter (away from under cabinet lighting/ovens/other heat sources, and even better wrapped in plastic wrap) but we recommend refrigeration for consumption any time after - however our donuts don't usually hang around for long!
